GRASS Cliftonville
GRASS – Gordon Road Area Street Scheme – was originally setup in 2003 as a resident led community volunteer group, its stated aims are to improve the quality of life for residents in the streets surrounding Gordon Rd. in Cliftonville.
GRASS has built a strong connection with the community through the wide range of events we deliver each year and was community award winner at the Thanet Community Awards in January 2019. GRASS Cliftonville is also proud to be members of the NVCO which has a diverse community of over 14,000 member organisations – a third of the voluntary sector workforce in England.
GRASS runs a super calendar of community events throughout the year for the community which include Cliftonville in Bloom, Cliftonville Outdoor Cinema, Cliftonville Games and the GRASS Children’s Christmas party. GRASS is always looking for volunteers that want to get involved and make a difference in the community

The Grotto Hill Area Street Scheme
Set up in 2002, primarily for residents of Bath Road, Clifton Gardens, Grotto Hill, Clifton Road, Grotto Road, Clifton Place, Brockley Road, Bath Place, Caroline Square, Grotto Gardens and those whose homes back onto these streets.

Open School East – Margate
Open School East is a space for artistic learning that is free, experimental, collaborative and brings together diverse voices. We provide tuition and studio space to emerging artists, run learning activities for young people and adults, commission artists to develop participatory projects, and produce and host cultural events and social activities for and with everyone.
